LAUNCHING JUNE 16, 2026 · WINDOWS

The notebook that thinks on your machine.

NoteMinds runs a local language model on your own hardware. Chat with your notes, search by meaning, transcribe meetings — without sending a single byte to anyone's cloud.

Pre-order $29 lifetime → One-time payment. 30-day refund. Free updates for life.

Every AI notes app today ships your private thoughts to someone else's server. Every subscription bills you forever for software you don't own. NoteMinds is the other path.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, one machine.

Install

One installer. No account. NoteMinds detects your CPU and GPU and picks the right local model automatically.

Write

Markdown, folders, tags, attachments. Import from Obsidian, Notion, Apple Notes, and plain text.

Ask

Chat with your notebook. Find a half-remembered idea from six months ago. Summarize today's meetings. All on your machine.

FEATURES

Six things, all local.

Offline-first AI

Local LLM via llama.cpp. Notes never touch a network.

Semantic search

Find ideas, not keywords. On-device embeddings.

Meeting transcription

Whisper runs locally. Record, transcribe, summarize without uploading.

Voice in, voice out

Kokoro TTS reads your notes aloud. Hands-free review.

Bring your own model

Phi, Qwen, Gemma, or any GGUF. Swap models in two clicks.

Source available

FSL-1.1-ALv2 on GitHub. Becomes Apache 2.0 two years after each release.

FAQ

Common questions.

Will it run on my laptop?
If your machine has 8 GB of RAM and runs Windows 10 or 11, yes. NoteMinds detects your hardware on first launch and picks the right model. Faster machines get larger models.
Is it really offline?
Yes. After installation you can pull the network cable and everything keeps working — notes, AI chat, search, transcription. The only network call NoteMinds makes is the one-time license check at first launch and an optional update check you can disable.
What about Mac and Linux?
Windows first. Mac is on the roadmap for late 2026. Linux is community-supported via the open-source build.
What does "source available" mean?
The full source is on GitHub under the Functional Source License. You can read it, audit it, modify it for personal use, and contribute fixes. It becomes Apache 2.0 automatically two years after each release.
Why one-time payment instead of a subscription?
Because software you paid for should keep working forever. Subscriptions exist when there's an ongoing server cost. NoteMinds has no server.
What if I don't like it?
Email within 30 days and you get a refund. No forms, no exit survey.
